Bad hair day

Tim here again, chaps! Well, I've come across some startling pictorial medical history for our young Bowser! Seems as a young, YOUNG pup, he was diagnosed with...Mange! Oh ho! I hear this illicits early male balding! Everywhere! In patches!  Our deer boy was treated for this horrible occurrence. BUT!!!! It seems he is plagued with a "low immune system" and unfortunately managed to concoct this horrible hair trauma again! Here we can see the poor lad has been SHAVED so that the medicine would penetrate to his skin better. This also meant the poor boy had to wear sweaters to keep warm! Ah the shame!! Tim!

Looks as if "big" sister Daisy finds the balding situation funny! How rude!

Poor little lad with his lion tail and sweater.

Tim!!!

Poor little lad

It seems that when our BowserTim reached 4 months old, he had to go through a terrible ordeal of "the cone of shame"! I'm not too sure on the details here, but it seems he had something removed...something that could have been important to him someday...but since he was such a young buck, he now has never known the difference!

Buried treasure

Hello all! Tis me, Tim! I so enjoy being here on Bowser's blog. It seems he has been distracted, of late! I found what the little lad has been doing....it seems his mama has given him bone-treasures and he has been burying them all over the house! Oh ho ho, what a silly! I took this opportunity to catch him in the act. I say, good for him! I'd much rather have him expertly burying treasure than biting my head!!!

The winning over of Daisy

As the "old" dog in the household, it must be noted that Daisy was entirely NOT interested in her new little basset brother. Tolerant, yes. Interested? Not at all!  Here we see the first attempts at a most-of-the-family-photo.

Not a very good outcome. Bowser has alighted nicely in his mama's lap, however Daisy is being forcefully restrained and even hindered in her desired escape from the close proximity to this puppy-intruder! Timish!

After a while, however, and inevitably, she began to tolerate him more. The photos do jump a bit in the timeline at this point, as does Bowser's size! He's quite the fast growing little Tim!

Finally, we see that after about two weeks, Daisy has accepted Bowser! In fact, they snuggle quite nicely together, and do indeed enjoy each other's company. Success!!

Quite the heartwarming story, even I Tim so myself!!!!

The story continues

As was once stated, our little lad grew quite quickly! In one short week, he had gained 3lbs! This document shows the first full day. Here we see the first full on face photo that had been taken of the young lad. Other days followed, and each day has been photographically documented by his mama, however they are actually in rather a jumble, due to there being so many, and so many of them being moved around for posting and emailing at various times. Here is a good idea of the first day, and the second full day, however! Tim!

(I heard he still very much enjoys these bones! It seems this bone in-particular had been in the house for nigh-on 3 years with no attention! However once Bowser found it, it became very popular with Daisy again.

Here we see the vicious nature of the beast! It seems shortly after this he had a toy shoved into his gaping maw.

An attempt to hold the poor lad still. It seems he hadn't quite realized that daily photos would be a part of his...every day!

The next day

The next day found our little baby BowserTim happily enjoying his new residence! He hadn't a care in the world, nor a worry of old siblings lost. He was a stout young 6 weeks old. This is the day he met his very best fiend, Nermal!

Let me just say that Bowser and Nermal got along together smashingly! Often it is said of Bowser that he still plays and bats his paws, just like he learned from Nermal. Nermal and Bowser started off the same size, and weight...a whopping 7lbs each! However that quickly changed with each new day!
Today, Nermal is no longer with us....but no need for sadness...she's just fine! She's at the chiropractor's! Indeed! It seems Bowser's new father was highly, and throat-closingly allergic to Nermal! So, though their time together was short, it was special, and the household is free of allergins (though Nermal is very missed.)
But back to the story!
Bowser loved to play in Nermal's room...

He always stole her toys! It would start a horrible war of wrestling as Nermal would alite on a tall surface, and then pounce on the thief!

Bowser was not pleased to share ALL of Nermals belongings, however.

The first day

Our little lad Bowser had his named chosen for him long before he was born. Still! He wasted no time in fullfilling the silliness that came along with said name.

First, as he made his way into the car with his new (human) "mama", he chose to crawl behind her head and ride, sadly watching the house where he was born fade away into the distance.
Our lad was not daunted, however. He was placed in his tiny cat crate while said new parents got lunch at Sonic (I heard they were very excited to eat here, seeing as they don't have one closer to where they live). The tired little lad soon did what was best, and fell asleep, staying so for the entire ride home.

With sounds of adoration coming from mama filling his ears, he slept! But then the car ride came to an end, and it was time to meet the extended family. He was taken to his grandparent's house, where he met up with his new sister Daisy for the first time.
Sadly, she was more interested in the kennel. (I find that she is still rather like this in attitude, and often doesn't occompany TimBowser and I on our nightly romps. She instead enjoys rolling in her kennel.)

Next was the meeting of more in-laws...Liska!
She's very large, but Bowser was in charge...oh hoho ha! I am a funny Tim!

Bowser did quite fine, actually, and though it seems like he may have had a bit of fear at first, truly he was a champ and began romping almost instantly! His new father gave him a quick comfort before he headed home with Daisy and mama.

Once he arrived at his new home, The rest became history! Tim!!! Actually, in a previous post Bowser has lamented at the goings on...it seems he was given his first bath, and then he fell asleep in a towel in his new mama's lap : )

Before his home:

Hello Everyone Again! Tim here. Here to talk about Tim! Ah, Bowser! I will now commence showing you a bit of the "before" time, for our furry friend. He doesn't remember this time much, so it's appropriate that I give the story as I know it.
Here we see a young Bowser, upper left. You will always know it's him by the elegant triangle on his rear! Here he is with his siblings, and his dog-mother!

Here again, in the fore-front we see his wide white neck band, and we can see a bit of his white striped nose!

Ah, and here is a lovely photograph of the dog-father! Bowser is seen in the back, by the cardboard box.

Lastly, but indeed, firstly, we see our young newborn Bowser-lad suckling away at mum. See how he has dominated the pack and climbed atop the others of his kind to attain the nourishment! His white leg and neck, and classic triangle back in clear view.

WELL! What a beginning for our little chap!

Hello, chaps!

Hello there, everyone! My name is Tim, and I am from TimLand! I visit Tim-Bowser each night before bed, and we romp and play! Sometimes I get confused and since I love my name so much, I sometimes call everyone Tim, but other than that Bowser and I have a ripe ol' good time! I go for walks around the bedroom floor, my high-pitched man-voice explaining to Bowser how we should all be friends, because that is how it is in TimLand, and sometimes, well, he gets a little bit rambunctious and may bite me a bit. It's alright though! I'm good natured about it...even though by now my squeaker is broken...
Anyway!...I am here to help Bowser do a bit of a history of himself. It's a bit narcissistic to talk about yourself all the time you know (Tim, I say!) so if I show a bit of Bowser's adventures for him perhaps he will appreciate my effort and there will be less biting! We shall see! Tim!
